Love drops, sweet Valentine's Day
Servings: Recipe is good for about 6 dozens of love drops
Looking for a treat to add to your Valentine's Day Plans? This sweet treat of love drops is between sweet and tangy, just like love itself!
2 cups of flour (all purpose)
1/2 teaspoon of salt
2 sticks of butter softened
1 cup of powdered sugar - divided in two
2 teaspoon of natural lemon juice
1 1/2 grated peel lemon
a touch of vanilla syrup 1/2 teaspoon
Preheat Oven to 300F. Combine flour and salt in a medium bowl. Blend butter and 3/4 cup of powdered sugar in a large bowl and mix at medium speed until fluffy (use an electric mixer). Add lemon peel, juice, and vanilla syrup. Mix until well blended.
Shape the mix into round balls. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake about 25 minutes or until lightly brown on the bottom. Cool five minutes and transfer to wire racks to cool completely. Sprinkle the remainder powdered sugar.
