Ham and Vegetable Fried Rice

Serves 6




2 tbsp pure sesame seed oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 bunch green onions, diced

½ green peppers

½ red peppers

½ yellow peppers

3 large carrots, diced & steamed

4 oz sweet yellow corn steamed

4 oz broccoli, halved & steamed

4 oz green beans, halved & steamed

6 oz bean sprouts

2 tbsp fresh cilantro

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp cumin


6 eggs, scrambled

4 ounces packaged diced ham

3 cups rice of choice, cooked (I use jasmine)

5 oz soy sauce (or to taste)



Precook cook rice and vegetables (steam all vegetables).

While rice and vegetables are being cooked, in a wok heat sesame seed oil, add garlic, green onions, all peppers, salt/pepper (to taste), cumin, oregano, and sauté for a couple minutes||Add in cilantro and mix all together for a few minutes||Add in diced ham and sauté for a couple minutes||Push other ingredients in wok to one side, add in eggs, and scramble||Once eggs are fully cooked add in rice and mix in soy sauce gradually to taste||Mix in all vegetables and bean sprouts||Mix all together for a few minutes||Serve and enjoy!


You can also make this recipe with shrimp, pork, or chicken; add any protein you would like! If you would like to make it vegetarian omit any protein all together.
