Plenty of winter festivities and family oriented activities. When planning in advance you can get very good prices in some of the most luxurious hotels and resorts. Colorado winter wonderland is the perfect spot to celebrate the holidays with your family! Imagine the New Year's Eve celebration! You might want to start a tradition with your family and make the ski vacation the holiday's family get together!

Tips to make it a memorable holiday

Book in advance for the best deals! Some people will do their reservations up to 4-6 months in advance for the resorts that are most popular. Doing this gives you the advantage of better package deals and better options!

If you or any of your family members are new to ski or snowboarding, take a class or two. It is worth the expense and you will enjoy your stay better. Furthermore, you are on a ski vacation, if you don't know how to ski, this is your chance! Most resorts will have individual or group classes by the hour or in packages of several hours.

Goes without saying but just in case, rent your equipment. You can do so for a number of days that you will stay. Unless you are an avid skier or snowboarder, there is no need to buy the expensive equipment. Do buy face masks or hoodies, thermal clothes, and gloves. It does get extremely cold up in the mountains. You are going to need all of it!
